research reports

Doxa uses research to:

  • Ensure that Doxa’s funded programs are robust, sound and aimed at creating opportunities for disadvantaged young people
  • To ascertain and highlight the issues that block opportunities for disadvantaged young people
  • To talk to government and other key stakeholders about issues and policy

Research reports into the Doxa school model have been undertaken and are available to download.

Further research is being undertaken to assist Doxa’s work in the following areas:

  • Ensuring that student teachers in mainstream schools are appropriately trained to keep young people connected to education, particularly in the middle years
  • Funding a greater range of alternative school settings that have been shown to work
  • Ensure that schools have knowledge and adequate access to support services in the community
  • Ensure consistent government policies to maximise student engagement.
